  Abstract:

  Indonesian intellectual property legislation was revised in 1997 to bring the different laws into accordance with the then recently concluded GATT-TRIPs Agreement. This article examines some of the controversial issues under that legislation in the areas of copyright, patent and trade mark law, and assesses the future of intellectual property protection in Indonesia with particular regard to the TRIPs Agreement.
